I've been eating at this place for a few years now. I always get the combo 1, and I rotate between getting a few extra spring rolls or summer rolls. The decor of the restaurant is not amazing, but I'm not there to stare at the walls. The food and service definitely will satisfy.
Great food, quick service! -

Standard Vietnamese fare at reasonable prices. Quick service, even for take-out. Depending on what you order, the food is either average or sub-par relative to other Vietnamese restaurants in the city. I've only eaten here because of its location directly across from the hospital; the quality of food caters to hospital workers as this place is open later than the hospital cafeteria. I usually order summer rolls, Bún or Pho. They use a thick vermicelli noodle that I'm not a particular fan of. If you're looking for authentic savoury Vietnamese food, then skip this place.

I have been eating at this place since the 90s. Very consistent quality and great prices. Can be a little nuts at lunch time, so better off going on the weekend or evening. Take out orders are always perfect. Beware if you want to take out on a weekday, there is little parking and the street is tow away till 5:30.
As others have stated the decor is non existent, and I don't like walking through a wall of beads to use the bathroom. Imagine the germs on those suckers. Only I would notice this, but there is an entry alarm that goes ding dong every time someone enters the restaurant. This bell goes constantly over the lunch hr. Probably rings hundreds of times per hr. I think that the place is busy enough and loud enough that they could disconnect the bell. I am certain that they don't even hear it anymore anyways as it is always going off.
If it is your first time and you don't want to be disappointed order the following:
Take out for 3 Large won-ton soup, deluxe fried rice, 6 Summer rolls. This will cost like 10 bucks a person and the portion of fried rice is epic.
Eat in - Won-ton soup, deluxe fried rice, summer rolls, sizzling black bean beef.
Lunch - I like the either summer rolls and won-ton soup, or the chicken satay and won-ton soup. Most everyone in the restaurant at lunch is eating the combination special and summer rolls. I can't get past the smell of the fish sauce, and for that reason avoid the combination plate.
Really the Summer Rolls are so good that they can change your life..
If you like coffee with your lunch there is about a 50/50 chance you will get it. Things get pretty crazy at lunch and for some reason drinks are not always brought to your table, especially coffee! My guess is coffee is probably easier to get after lunch.
The owners are always friendly and I have watched their little girl grow up from toddler to teenager. Ding dong. Ding dong.
Try it, you will like it! -

"Delicious meal. I got the combination special (number 17) and it was the absolute perfect ratio of vegetables to meat. I ate every last bit! And my boyfriends chicken satay soup smelled absolutely delicious and he loved it as well."

Pretty good. I know little of Vietnamese cuisine but the #1 house special was very good. Will return and try something else. As previously stated the decor is nothing to write home about and it was not the most welcoming service I ever had. We got more help from a fellow guest. But the food was good enough to require another visit.
